I’m Keith Binding, Director of Spirit Consulting.
I have twenty-five years business development, marketing and commercialisation experience, working with professional services firms, top-end B2B and B2C service sector companies and both early-stage and mature technology businesses. All are knowledge-intensive enterprises.
I was originally a commercial litigation solicitor, and gained my MBA at Cranfield. I spent five years at Arthur Andersen as a senior member of the marketing team, developing and implementing BD/marketing initiatives during a period of unprecedented growth for the firm’s Media, Telecoms and Technology practices.
I was Commercial Director of Critical I, developing and selling life sciences market intelligence services to government agencies, venture capital funds and biotechnology companies.
Since 2005 I have split my time between providing BD, market research and proposal support and training for professional services firms, and providing business planning, BD and market assessment and marketing support to organisations, both large and small, in both the private and public sector.
I chair the Assessment Panel for the Natural Environment Research Council’s Follow-On Fund. The Fund helps develop promising environmental technologies to the point at which they can attract commercial partners and investment. I helped the Research Councils devise the format of their highly successful Business Plan Competitions and, since 1999, have been involved in every one as either trainer, coach or judge.
Spirit Consulting’s network of associates includes business development and sales specialists, marcomms experts, market research specialists, innovation experts, and database developers. All have worked for some of the most highly-regarded names in the corporate world, share a common passion for delivering results and have the track record to prove it. Together, we’re a powerful team.
